NHL – History Edit

After a Canadian National Hockey Association (National Hockey Association, NHA) inside the Toronto blue shirts and other pellet boss bosses series of dispute, all the operators came to the Windsor Hotel in Montreal to discuss the future direction of NHA. The final outcome of their discussions to make NHL in 1917 was born. The original team are: Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Rangers, Ottawa Senators, Quebec Bulldogs and a new arena named Toronto.

The six teams (Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers) is called Original Six, which means the original six teams in the next quarter of a century, this team is a team of six NHL teams only.

Western Hockey League (Western Hockey League), an authoritative think it will transform into a large coalition of groups and challenged Stanley Cup duty rise, prompting the NHL conducted from 1967 to 1920 for the first time since the expansion of six new teams to join and placed into the new partition. This six teams, including: the Philadelphia Flyers, St. Louis Blues team, the Minnesota North Stars (now the Minnesota Wild team), Los Angeles Kings, Auckland sea lions team (the team in 1976 with the Minnesota North Stars team merged) and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Three years later, NHL has added the Vancouver Canucks, Buffalo Sabres two teams.
